Place Value is one of the most important building blocks to learning Math. In fact, without a good understanding of Place Value, learning even the most basic Math skills is incredibly difficult. If you are looking for some great hands-on place value practice for Halloween, you have come to the right place. I have some great Place Value Craftivities for kids that encourage practice through fun and creativity. These Craftivities are not only academically beneficial, they make great decorations for the classroom and even more. Plus, I also have some ideas for other ways you can encourage your students to practice their Place Value skills, year round.

Spooky Fun Halloween Craftivities For Math

Next to Christmas, Halloween is the favorite holiday of almost every Elementary school student. Since practice is so important in students developing solid Place Value skills, I decided to create these fun Place Value Craftivities for Halloween. Practice can feel very boring if we aren’t careful. But there is nothing boring about a haunted house or colorful bag of candy!

Your Elementary and homeschool students will love being able to show off their knowledge about Place Value while focusing on a holiday as fun as Halloween. And once their Haunted House or Treat Bag of Candy is finished, kids can express their artistic skills as they decorate their Craftivity any way they choose!

Learning Place Value is so important, I’ve created a number of ways that your students can practice throughout the year. There are great choices for each of the four seasons - and many of the holidays, too!

Not only that, I have Craftivities to help your students practice many of their basic academic skills. Keeping kids interested and inspired is always my goal as a teacher, and I hope you’ll feel inspired in your own lesson plans when you see some of these great Craftivities!

Halloween Craftivities Also Make Great Decorations, Gifts, and Displays

An Elementary classroom decorated for Halloween is always a special treat for students. And these Halloween Place Value Craftivities fit right in with other seasonal decorations. The Haunted House is adorable while still giving off that touch of “spooky” kids love. And the treat bag of candy is as colorful and friendly as it gets! With a little imagination, it is easy to see how you can use either of them to build an attractive Hallway display, or simply show off your students’ work on the classroom walls.

These Halloween Craftivities can also be used to create “Trick-or Treat” bags, Halloween cards, and other cute gifts, as well. Finding creative ways for students to put their hard work on display is always fun and rewarding!

Practicing Place Value skills is so much easier when students are having fun. I hope that these fun Halloween themed Place Value Craftivities will have you and your students so inspired to learn, those important skills will become second nature in no time at all!
